A precisely defined protective atmosphere protects the surface of the charge from unwanted changes or, on the contrary, ensures that the material’s surface will undergo precisely the change that you want and no other changes.

Our furnaces boast relatively low gas consumption, which is a great plus, especially when expensive argon is involved, for instance. We frequently also supply furnaces with nitrogen, forming gas, and so on.

Pay extra for retort made of type Inconel material if you need to work at high temperatures. Although a stainless steel retort can handle temperatures of up to 950 °C, retort made of type Inconel can handle 150 °C more than that.

Note: After our experience with previous applications, we know that the service life for a standard retort (an internal gastight vessel) used for a maximum temperature of 950 °C is low (it depends on its endurance period for the temperature, but is roughly on the order of hundreds of hours). If you wish to operate a plant regularly at a temperature of around 950 °C, then we recommend equipping it with a retort made of type Inconel.
