Our customers prefer refractory concrete over cast iron primarily due to its excellent accumulation properties. A refractory concrete grate fundamentally improves the combustion process because it pre-heats the air, which is brought in under the grate and then led into the combustion chamber. Even though cast iron is cheaper, it has a significantly shorter service life than our refractory concrete. If you are thinking about buying grates, then we recommend consulting first with our technical office.
