Pair of melting tilting furnaces for automotive aluminum foundries
We have supplied crucible melting furnaces for melting aluminum alloys to two major German manufacturers of automotive components for the BMW, Mercedes-AMG, VW and Porsche brands.
Modern automotive technologies cannot do without traditional aluminum castings, which form important structural parts of vehicle chassis. For the production of these parts and their proper function, the process of melting and maintaining aluminum alloys is particularly important.
We often modify melting furnaces for aluminum foundries for the needs of foundries according to customer needs and supplement them with various accessories. Both supplied furnaces are in a tilting version, when the furnace is used for melting aluminum alloys with the possibility of pouring the melt into a transport ladle or a transport holding furnace for transportation for subsequent processing. According to customer requirements, the furnaces are supplemented with a raised platform, which allows easier operation of the equipment (loading the charge, maintenance and inspection). The furnaces are equipped with a modern control system and a hydraulic unit for precise and safe tilting.
Different foundries then prefer different melting processes in terms of heating medium. The PTSP 750/12 furnace is therefore heated by natural gas and the PTS 1000/12 furnace is heated by electricity. Both LAC tilting melting furnaces are very well insulated and equipped with a hinged lid.
