A pair of bogie hearth furnaces for an industrial knife manufacturer
We have delivered two custom-made bogie hearth furnaces to a Spanish manufacturer of high-quality industrial knives for all types of applications, tool steels, and special slideways for the machining industry.
Both units are of the VKNC type, where the charge is placed on a bogie, which then enters the furnace. The furnaces are suitable for standard heat treatment processes up to Tmax 850 °C. Uniform temperature distribution, which is particularly important for this type of charge, is ensured by forced internal atmosphere circulation. The entire process can be easily monitored and controlled via a programmable PID controller.
The larger furnace, the VKNC 4500 model, is notable for the length of its working chamber and bogie. The equipment allows for the heat treatment of industrial knife blades up to 4 meters long.
