A furnace with even temperature distribution that saves on operating costs

In VKNC furnaces, the charge is loaded onto the bogie, which is then driven into the furnace. The door closing mechanism ensures excellently tight door sealing; combined with the high-quality insulation material, this brings lower furnace operating costs. The even heat distribution ensures forced internal atmosphere circulation, and you can easily control the whole heat treatment process thanks to a programmable PID controller.

The new eco-shell of the VKNC electric bogie-hearth chamber furnace ensures up to one third of savings in operating costs

The furnace shell been supplemented with an innovative thermal insulation material that has very low thermal conductivity coefficient values. Consequently, it reduces heat losses by 24 % and thus reduces the furnace’s consumption..

 

For example, we present the calculation of savings in operating costs of the VKNC 7200 furnace when annealing a 6,000 kg heavy mold compared to a commonly available bogie-hearth chamber furnace:
