PTE Mk.II electric holding stationary furnace up to 900 °C

Low operating costs and minimal structural dimensions

PTE Mk.II furnaces are used as holding furnaces for various aluminum alloys up to Tmax 900 °C in the furnace chamber. They are designed in an octagonal design with an emphasis on energy savings, and we also aimed to reduce the dimensions of the device. We succeeded in this, so PTE Mk.II furnaces find their place even in foundries with limited space for furnace installation.

The PTE Mk.II furnaces belong among the most effective and energy-efficient facilities on the market for holding aluminium. And this is not only because we have reduced their power needs to a minimum, but also thanks to their new insulation system and the innovative system of fixing the heating spirals into the grooves of the refractory castable block, which optimally accumulate the working temperature in the furnace chamber. The efficiency of the furnace is verified by energy audits performed at our customers.

The PTE Mk.II even won an award in the “Golden Medal” contest at the MSV 2012 engineering trade fair in the “Best Innovative Exhibit – Energy Efficient Product” category.

PTE Mk.II holding electric furnaces will save you up to a third of your energy costs

Thanks to the use of modern insulation materials, the innovative system of fixing the heating coils in the grooves of the refractory castable blocks, the minimum installed power consumption and the innovative octanogal design, significant energy savings are ensured in the operation of these furnaces. Savings will further increase when operating an oven with a closed lid, or an oven equipped with an automatic hinged lid.

As an example, we present the PTE Mk.II 500/09 furnace consumption measurement when holding 500 kg of aluminium when compared with a standard available holding furnace:
