Dryers in which flammable substances are released (EN 1539 standard)

In the case of thermal processes such as drying of surface coatings, various types of varnishes, impregnation resins, as well as various types of industrial batches, released substances (eg. solvents and organic VOC compounds) could mix with air and form an explosive mixture. These released substances may exist as gases, vapours, liquids, solids, or mixtures thereof, and if an ignition source is also present, the mixture may explode. The European industrial standard EN 1539 as well as the American industrial standard NFPA 86 therefore defines the safety technologies of furnaces and dryers used for these thermal processes. LAC dryers in which flammable substances are released meet the advanced safety requirements of both standards and enable safe control of drying and heat treatment processes by limiting the amount of solvents in the work chamber.
