Furnaces for preheating automobile windows
Many technologies and manufacturing processes require the manipulation of flat glass. We have supplied several types of electrical tunnel dryers with a conveyor adapted for holding and transporting glass.
The design of this dryer with fan units stored in its ceiling makes it possible to maintain different temperatures in each heating section. By synchronising these fans with the operation of the furnace conveyor, the furnace reaches the charge’s required heat profile.
Thanks to the nature of the charge, which always lies very flat, the height of the furnace’s internal operational space is also minimised. Thanks to this, the conduction of heat among heating units and the charge is very intensive and the furnace has reduced thermal losses, and thus the overall costs for its operation are also reduced.
The glass sheets lie on the conveyor on several rubber supports, which can easily be relocated. This solution enables both problem-free charge loading using a robot and the repositioning of supports in case of a product line change.
Dryers of this type are mainly used when manufacturing photovoltaic panels or drying adhesives and coats on the edges of glass plates for automobiles.
What’s great about this facility
- A conveyor customised for holding and transporting glass
- Good conduction of heat into the charge
- Problem-free robotic loading
- Easy changes to support locations in case of a product line change
