Curing aluminium wire coils
This continuous furnace is used for curing aluminium wire wound into coils that are stored in steel transport pallets. These pallets are moved along a roller conveyor, thanks to which you can use the furnace on much heavier and bulkier charges.
The furnace is divided into four separate heating zones, in each of which a different temperature can be set, enabling you to create whatever heat treatment curve you need. The facility is run using a programmable PLC automated system that sets the temperature in the furnace and synchronises the movements of the conveyor and the door.
We can supply such furnaces in both chamber and continuous versions, and in both electric and gas versions. The conveyors and the temperature gradient can be tailored to match your needs.
The customer for whom we designed this furnace needed to replace an old chamber furnace while also increasing production capacity. As a bonus, we then simplified work with the furnace and the charge and reduced the number of employees needed to operate the furnace.
What’s great about this facility
- A replacement for old chamber furnaces
- Increased production capacity
- Simplifications to manipulation of the furnace and the charge
- Reduced number of furnace operators needed
