Robust chamber furnace in a multi-chamber configuration designed for preheating molds in demanding aluminum wheel foundry operations
We supplied this gas-fired multi-chamber furnace KNCHP 34500/05 with forced atmosphere circulation, designed for preheating steel casting molds, to a major manufacturer of automotive cast aluminum wheels.
The furnace is constructed in a set of five chambers, each chamber is divided into 2 positions. There are a total of 10 positions in the furnace for storing the charge. The size of 1 position is intended for 1 mold. The molds are loaded into the chambers by a pallet truck. The automatically controlled upward opening doors are driven by a gearbox with an electric motor and are common to one chamber (2 positions).
The furnace is heated by natural gas, indirectly using a heat exchanger.
