Two-chamber continuous dryer with a system for monitoring the concentration of evaporating substances
We have supplied this continuous dryer type SP 4200/15 with a system for monitoring the concentration of evaporating substances to a major European manufacturer of air conditioning units. The dryer is designed to remove oil from the surface of the heat exchanger of air conditioning units and partly also from their internal parts.
This is a continuous, two-chamber dryer equipped with two connected height-adjustable chain conveyors with plastic belts (gentle to the parts being moved) and adjustable speed. The dried exchangers pass through the dryer in a vertical position. The conveyors are therefore supplemented with horizontal carriers.
The heating chamber is equipped with two circulation fans with heating units and an exhaust damper. The circulation of the internal atmosphere is horizontal. The heating chamber is also equipped with a nozzle that uses compressed air to blow out oil residues from the internal part of the exchanger. The cooling chamber is equipped with two cooling fans with an exhaust pipe.
The internal atmosphere is monitored by the Metrex system to prevent an increased concentration of evaporating substances. Three limits are monitored - the presence of a hazardous substance, an increased concentration of a hazardous substance and a dangerous concentration. According to these limits, the dryer automatically performs the required procedure (exchange of the internal atmosphere, stopping operation) to prevent an increased concentration of evaporating substances.
