Continuous furnace for tempering diaphragm springs of clutch plates
The PR 2500/06 continuous tempering furnace for a major manufacturer of clutch components is a robust device adapted for the thermal tempering process of clutch plate diaphragm springs at temperatures up to 600 °C.
The furnace is divided into two chambers by a partition and each chamber is equipped with its own heating system. Heating is direct by electric heating elements and heat transfer to the parts is ensured by hot vertically circulating air. The inner shell of the furnace is made of stainless steel ČSN 17240. The heat-treated clutch plates pass through the chambers on a chain conveyor and are stored in wire carriers also made of stainless steel. The tempering furnace is connected to a cooling tunnel with an exhaust fan, through which the parts also pass on a chain conveyor. The temperature of the parts at the outlet of the cooling tunnel reaches 50 °C.
The furnace is fully integrated into the previous production steps (washing machine and stacker). At the furnace exit, the processed parts slide freely onto the designated transport pallets. The total capacity of the furnace is approximately 400 pieces of slats.
