Line with furnace and roller conveyor for continuous annealing of shell molds for precision casting
The KNC/H 5780/65 furnace line is used for heat treatment of shells with a meltable pattern for the aluminum precision casting method.
The wax-free shells are placed in a sand bed in a basket and, after the basket is filled, they are placed in the oven by an automatic manipulator. The oven is divided into two zones separated by a screen.
In the first zone, shortly after the filling, the wax residues from the charge burn out, which is why the furnace is equipped with an exhaust flap. Subsequently, when the charge is heated, the shells harden.
After that, the basket is moved to the removal zone using a roller conveyor. It allows partial opening of the door, moving the basket to the transfer station and removing some of the shells from the basket. To prevent the shells from cooling, the basket can be brought back to the removal zone of the furnace. After the last shells have been removed, the transfer station ensures that the basket is moved to the return conveyor on which a new batch is placed in the basket.
