Chamber furnaces with forced circulation of the internal atmosphere designed for the sintering process of salt cores
The production of modern aluminum and steel engine pistons often requires the use of salt cores and other inserts. We have supplied a major engine piston manufacturer with several KNCH 2000/85 forced-circulation chamber furnaces suitable for annealing and sintering salt cores for this production process.
In order to fully utilize the similar production technology of inserting salt cores, it is necessary to heat-treat the salt cores at temperatures above 800 °C, when they sinter and harden. After this process, they can be used in the actual production of the casting. This process is characterized by a very dynamic thermal cycle on an industrial scale. Chamber furnaces Ensuring dynamic temperature KNC/H 2000/85 are equipped with two powerful circulation units for this purpose, racks for storing the charge fully compatible with other customer equipment and are further equipped with forced overpressure cooling of the charge. The furnace control system is of the PLC Siemens S7-1200-TP7 type.
