The LAC, s r.o. - plant Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou has been manufacturing refractory castable shapes since 1993. In January 2006, the company had started operations in new facilities and at the present time, it has ca 6,000 m2 of space, with annual production capacity exceeding 3,000 tons.zarobeton Refractory castable shapes of our own design differ in classification temperature as well as in materials' base. The largest shares are refractory castable shapes based on mullite and then carbide and corundum shaped blocks. Apart from refractory castable shapes manufacturing, the LAC Company s r.o., offers a complete line of heat-resistant materials for various technological applications. The basis for the company's success is a continuous materials' development, development of new products with steady, stable and long-term collaboration with the existing customers and unrivalled availability of professional consulting services for the new customers.  

Refractory castable shapes manufacturing technology

 

Each new refractory castable shape starts with generating precise technological documentation, which is based on specific requirements and the needs of the customer. Based on this information, a form is designed. In each application of refractory castable shapes, a type of refractory blend is designed, which is poured under vibration into forms. An important technological process, determining the refractory block's final characteristics is baking it in temperatures between 900 °C to 1300 °C. All refractory products are subject to permanent laboratory analyses of physical characteristics and in collaboration with the customer, technological changes are suggested, which will further improve the expected characteristics, according to the customer's needs (material resistance, strength, wear resistance, etc.).  

The use of refractory castable shapes

  The refractory castable shapes from the LAC Company find uses in many branches of industry. The company had built its name principally in the area of supplying refractory castable shapes for metallurgic companies and for boiler manufacturers fired by either wood, pellets and biomass. The use of refractory castable shapes is, thanks to their exceptionally high quality, presently wide-spread and includes the following main areas: • Energy-generating boilers, incinerators, heating chambers - burner stones of gas and oil fired boilers, fluid boiler walls subjected to depositing, castable shapes for the boilers for burning biomass, wood-burning boiler lining, refractory castable shapes for various smaller heating chambers (boilers, stoves, fireplaces) and lining of crematorium furnaces. • Ferrous and non-ferrous metals foundries - ladles' pour-out stone lining, blocks for ladles' lining, troughs and grooves for electrical induction furnaces, furnaces' and ladles' caps, shape blocks of walking-beam furnace's hearth, ladles' impact plates, special shape blocks, funnels and pipes, walls in contact with melted metal, suspended shape pieces of galvanizing furnaces • Ceramic and silicates industry Brickworks furnaces - refractory castable shapes for ceilings and walls, burner stones, kiln car refractory castable shapes; Ceramics baking furnaces - burner stones, kiln car refractory castable shapes, parts for electric furnaces; Cementing work - burner stones, protective sleeves for burners, blocks for furnace and cooler footings, anchor blocks. • Glassworks Blocks for glassworks furnaces, - front blocks, access hole parts, burner blocks, bottom blocks, tank blocks,budova feeders, pot furnaces' parts; Small refractory elements for ladles' furnaces - smelting rings, beaks, curtains, melting cakes, etc. • Chemical and petrochemical industries - burner blocks for heating furnaces, incinerator face and burners, acidresistant blocks, access holes.  

Why use refractory castable shapes from LAC?
