Furnace for medium-temperature applications as an intermediate type between the VP and LH furnaces

SiC-based heating rods are an inexpensive way to achieve higher working temperatures. Unlike the MoSi2 heating units used in VP furnaces, they do not require frequent maintenance, and they also have a longer service life and are more resistant to temperature shocks. Thanks to the high output density of SiC-based rods, the furnace also has very fast run-up to temperature. It can reach 1400 °C within 40 minutes. Compared to the VP furnaces, the LHS furnace is lighter and more compact due to its design.
